Updated 15 May 2018
Da Gama Maritime (“DGM”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our course delegates, business clients, users of our website, employees, contractors and suppliers. This policy explains how we use the information we collect about you and the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.
We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation 2016.
HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you contact DGM using this website or other means of communication (e.g. email, telephone, postal), are registered with DGM, interact with DGM personnel on a professional basis and/or place an order with us, we need to know your professional contact details, as appropriate (e.g. name, title, company, business address, email address and telephone number).
We also monitor customer traffic on an aggregate basis in order to help us develop and improve our website for the benefit of our customers. For example, we may collect information about the type of device you use to access our websites, your IP address, your general geographic location (as indicated by your IP address), your browser type, the webpages you view on our websites, whether you interact with content available on our websites and how you do so.
By submitting your information, you consent to the use of that information as set out in this Policy. If we update our Privacy Policy we will revise the ‘Updated’ date at the top of the Policy so you are aware that a revision has been made.
As the Internet infrastructure is global and it is not possible to predict the routes that information sent over the Internet will take, the information you provide may be transferred temporarily via a route which takes it outside the European Economic Area as it passes between you and us. By submitting your information you consent to this transfer.
HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
This information allows us to deal with any professional enquiries about the services offered by DGM, to establish a contract for any orders placed, to notify you of the status of your order and to fulfil your order.
We may also use your information for the purpose of providing you with information about any special offers, new services, other events or features of our website which we think may be of interest to you, and for related marketing purposes.
HOW WE MAY SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION
DGM does not and will not sell personal information about our course delegates, business clients, users of our website, employees, contractors and suppliers.
Unless we have your express consent, we will only disclose your personal data to third parties (i.e. business associates or professional advisers) if this is required for the purpose of completing your transaction with us or introducing you to another company who can assist you.
